For those students who are undertaking musicianship or HSC, there is an aural component.

When listening to a piece of music, my high school teacher always taught us to analyse sound like a layered cake. Apart from being super tasty, you should be able to start from the ground up and work your way through the piece systematically.

By following this guide, I hope that you will be able to fully appreciate the music that you hear.
