This lesson builds on the “Chords” workbook and introduces students to vocal and piano style harmony, primary and secondary chords and cadences. This is suitable for students studying AMEB theory and musicianship courses up to grade 4.

Cadences covered include: 

• Perfect V-I 
• Plagal IV- I
• Imperfect I-V, II-V, IV-V and VI-V 
• Interrupted V- VI

Cadences have been set out with colour coded notes and directional arrows to help assist learning. The student worksheet encourages students to practice what they have learnt in a fun and practical way. This workbook is an excellent additional resource for students.
